O'Brien, a board-certified ophthalmologist and first-generation college graduate, began his career with a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh before pursuing his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College. After completing his residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital, where he was selected from among 900 applicants, he has dedicated the past 23 years to bringing advanced cataract and refractive surgery techniques to his small-town community. As a Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology with his most recent re-certification in 2016, Dr. O'Brien combines his extensive medical expertise with a commitment to providing personalized, high-touch care to his patients.
